WORSHIP AT HOPEPOINTE
At HopePointe, we recognize how creative God is in His unique design of His people, and that some prefer a more traditional approach to worship, while others prefer a more modern approach. We offer two worship celebrations on Sunday mornings: a Traditional Celebration, consisting of choral music led by a vested choir, vested clergy, and a more “traditional-feeling” liturgy and a Modern Celebration, complete with band-driven music and a more “modern-feeling” liturgy. If you would like to learn about serving in our modern worship band, please click here. If you are interested in serving in our choir, please click here.
Both worship celebrations incorporate historic Anglican practices such as the Nicene or Apostles’ Creeds, the Confession and Absolution, and the Lord’s Prayer—they may simply be organized a little differently, depending on the service.
We experience the joy of being part of an ancient and historic Church tradition, while at the same time, having the freedom and responsibility of designing worship that is accessible, applicable, and relevant to today’s world. Our “Ancient-Modern” treasure chest is deep with resources that go back to the earliest days of the church, spanning all the way forward to the treasures of today.
But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him. (John 4:23, English Standard Version)
