Clergy

  • Rev. Travis King, Senior Pastor

    Travis is married to Kelly, and they are proud parents of Colton, Kensy, Casen, and Canon. He is passionate about fellowship and discipleship through connecting with people and sharing God’s message of hope. Travis also loves to cook and dream up new ideas, and he is a master of puns.

  • Rev. Frankie Rodriquez, Priest and Senior Associate Pastor

    Frankie is married to Camille. They have five grown children. He will assisting with LifeGroups and Men's Ministry, spiritual development and lay leadership training. He ministers among us with this personal vision: "You are a child of God and no one has any right to treat you any other way." Game night? We're in!

  • Rev. Ajose Ayedun, Priest and Assisting Clergy

    Father Ajose and his wife, Ola, have been happily married for 18 years and are blessed with two children. Their children Jesutofunmi and Eniayo, are actively involved in the church choir. They are passionate about nurturing spiritual growth, supporting families, and advancing God’s kingdom through service and discipleship. Their lives continue to be a testimony of God’s faithfulness and grace, inspiring others to serve Him wholeheartedly.

  • Rev. Lisa Schwandt, Deacon and Assisting Clergy

    Lisa is married to Scott, and they have two adult children, Sarah and Michael. She serves as the Dean of the College of Deacons and as the Canon for Discipleship for the Anglican Diocese of the Western Gulf Coast. Her joy is disciple-making for Christ, proclaiming His gospel, and encouraging His people. Lisa is originally from Tennessee but has lived all her adult life in Texas.

  • Rev. Craige Borrett, Priest and Assisting Clergy

    Craige is a Native Texan from El Paso, but he and wife, Nancy, now reside in The Woodlands. Craige serves Bishop Clark and the diocese by helping with congregational development. He loves the church and has a passion for it to be healthy.

Ministry Team and Lay Leaders

  • Terrice Tinsley, Director of Children's Ministry

    Experiencing the wonder of the Gospel through the richness of liturgy at a young age inspired Terrice's passion to help children discover God’s love for them. Her desire is to equip parents to cultivate their children's hearts toward strong roots of faith with a love for Scripture and prayer. Born in Houston, she and her husband Richard and their daughters have enjoyed living in such places as the Black Hills of South Dakota, the North Shore of Boston, and some of Texas' most interesting cities.

  • Austin Hunt, Director of Music

    Austin oversees the HopePointe Choir, our Worship Team, and the Children of Light choirs. He is a gifted vocalist, musician, and director with a heart for ministry through music. Austin is also the Artistic Director of the award-winning Houston Boychoir and an accomplished composer of choral music, with titles available through Choristers Guild, Alfred, and Carl Fischer Music. In his free time you will find him on the tennis court or the pickleball court.

  • Debra Schmidt, Director of Greeters & Ushers Ministry

    Debra grew up in Long Island, NY, but has lived in The Woodlands for many years. She is a spirited entrepreneur and business leader who is also passionate about using her gifts for the Kingdom of God. Debra leads our Usher and Greeter ministry. She is often the first friendly face you will meet on Sunday mornings at HopePointe. In her free time she loves playing golf, reading, and spending time with her husband, daughter and four grandchildren.

  • Dwight Alexander, PE, Executive Director of Campus and Facilities

    Dwight is married to Shelley and they have two grown children. After a 52 year career in Navy nuclear submarine development, design and maintenance including 28 years active duty, he is fully retired now and volunteers at HopePointe to shepherd the campus facilities. He is a licensed professional engineer and enjoys the challenges of keeping our 23+ year old facility neat, tidy and functional.

  • John Colvin, Director of Student & Family Life Ministry

    John is married to Megan and they have two wonderful children. John and Megan were high school sweethearts and grew up in Magnolia, Texas. John enjoys reading, tabletop games, fitness, and quoting Lord of the Rings whenever the opportunity arises. He has served in student ministry for over 10 years in various contexts. John loves gathering the next generation to community where people feel they belong and are compelled by the love of God in Christ Jesus to serve others.

  • Hillarrie Jones, Executive Director of Ministry Operations

    Hillarrie was born and raised in south Texas near San Antonio.  She, her husband, Darrell, and their two kids moved to The Woodlands in 2008 and have been members of HopePointe since 2009.  Before bringing her gifts of administration and organization to the Ministry Team she has served and continues to serve in several ministry groups at HopePointe.

  • Dr. Michael P. Forth, Ph.D, Theologian in Residence

    Michael is married to Tiffany (Steward & Treasurer), and they are the proud parents of Camille and Talya.  The Forth family first came to HopePointe in late 2019.  As theologian in residence, Michael partners with the clergy in educational and discipleship initiatives and otherwise lends his theological expertise to the Church.  His passion is to see people develop in their faith as a result of growing in their knowledge of the Bible, theology, and the Anglican tradition. 

  • Parish Administrator

    Currently we do not have a Parish Administrator. We will be seeking a new Parish Administrator over the summer.

The Bishop and Diocesan Ministry Team

  • Rt. Rev. Clark Lowenfield, Bishop

    Bishop Clark Lowenfield is married to Tricia, and they have three daughters and two sons-in-law. He has served as senior pastor of churches in South Carolina and Texas for over 30 years. Bishop Clark is a graduate of Amherst College with degrees in Political Science and Economics and The University of the South with a Master of Divinity. Bishop Clark is the senior leader of the Diocese of the Western Gulf Coast.
