Family Life - Student Ministry (5th - 12th grade)

Our student ministry exists to disciple and build up students, in partnership with parents, into young adults that are in vibrant and devoted relationships with Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior (read more about our mission and values here).

Students and Sunday Mornings

Crossroads (5th-6th)

At our Modern service, 5th and 6th graders will worship with their families up until the sermon, when they'll leave for their own teaching across the hall. Their lesson will follow the sermon at a level customized for their age. Our prayer is for families to be able to discuss what they've learned together

Cornerstone (7th-9th)

Cornerstone is our gathering for 7th through 9th graders that will also take place during the sermon at the Modern service, with a lesson also adopted from the sermon for their age. Like Crossroads, Cornerstone is designed to present teaching that helps teenagers and parents engage in conversation about what they learned that day.

10th-12th graders
Because of their maturity, we encourage 10th through 12th graders to remain in the service with their parents. These students are invited to serve alongside other adults, whether as readers, prayer team members, or in other roles. Students that are interested are also invited to serve alongside adult teachers in our Crossroads gathering for 5th through 6th graders.

Beyond Sundays

On top of Sunday mornings, our students gather on a monthly basis in order to have fun and serve together in our community. See below for our calendar for Fall 2019:

Momentum Your Bible Study:

September 4, 18, 25

October 9, 16, 23

November 6, 13, 20,

December 11

Place: HopePointe Anglican Church

Time: 6:30-8:00pm

Purpose: We gather to worship, pray, and study scripture together. Momentum is an opportunity to continually be reminded of our identity as Anglican Christians, as well as an open door for questions and support. Momentum is a place for students to be challenged and grow in their faith.

Public Reading of Scripture:

October 4th: Isaiah 40-55

December 6th: Birth of Christ/Prophet

Place: Starbucks at Panther Creek

Time: 6:30-8:00pm

Purpose: We read scripture publicly in order to learn what it means to let the word of God impact and inform our lives as they are understood in the context of this world. The church just after Pentecost would often read scripture in the public square.

Serious about safety

Parents, we take seriously the fact that you are entrusting your teenagers to our care. Our ministry team members have all undergone a thorough background check. If you have more questions related to this, please contact Youth Pastor, Jon Beadle, jbeadle@hopepointe.org.
